How can I drag and drop images from slide to slide?

I'm creating an interactive PowerPoint where users can drag images from
various slides to another slide - assembling a picture, so to speak, from
images selected from other slides.

I know you can cut and paste, but I think it would be simpler to be able to
drag and drop (I know Visio is the perfect tool for this, but many of the
users don't have visio installed).

You can't drag and drop from slide to slide, but there is a macro program
that allows you to drag and drop on a single slide.
