How can I do this??

I have 2 versions of WORD.

WORD97 is located in c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office

WORD2002 is located in: c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10

I would like all .doc files to automatically open with WORD97. But I can't
seem to get it to do that. Even if I try the Open With command and browse to
the correct WINWORD.exe function, it then goes to WORD, but it's the wrong
one.

How can I accomplish this?

An option you can try is to disable the features of 2002.

Open your version 2002. Go to your menu and
select "Tools", "Options". Select the Tab that
says "Save". Look for "Default Format" and there should
be a box that says "Disable features introduced after:"
and select the version you want.

Hope this helps, the only other thing I could suggest is
you uninstall 2002 if you don't want to use it. Or open
your 2002 files and hit "Save AS" and change your Type to
97.
