How can I change the size of the icons on the toolbars?

I would like to be able to change the size of the icons on the toolbars.
They are too small to see. I know I can change them to a larger size but
that size is too big. Is there anything in the middle?

Unfortunately no, there is not. You could change the screen resolution for
you monitor, perhaps?
