How can I change author name of some other guy who reviewed my doc

I am using track changes and received comments from ten colleagues. However,
some of them didn't change their user names clear enough, such as "windows
user" or some other generic names. Is there any way I can edit their names
registered on the reviewing pane or comment bubbles?

Hi catkan11,

Word isn't designed to do this, but there is a workaround:
First, save the document in RTF format.
Open the RTF file with a text editor
Use Find/Replace to change the author name(s)
Save & close the file
Re-open in Word, confirm the corrections, then save as a Word document.

Note: the RTF format is fragile - be careful.

You can manually change the tracked change author's name using the VB
