Hotmail, Media Player, Search Not Working

I get a blank screen when attempting to do a search.
When selecting Accessories>System Tools>System Restore, I don't get the
Welcome screen.
Windows Media Player 10 is not working at all.
When I try to logon to hotmail in IE6, I get as blank screen. Hotmail
does work with Opera.

Under Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, there is no entry for
Microsoft Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, or Windows Media Player.

I recently removed the winlogonhook malware as well as Yazzle by Oin.
Spyware and virus scans come up clean.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Everything is now working properly. I googled my way onto this
solution:

Reregister Jscript.dll and Vbscript.dll

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.
5. In the Open box, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then click OK.
6. Click OK.
