Host file entries

Hi

I have following entries in my XP OS host file. I have removed these
entries and rebooted the system however after the reboot these entries
have appeared again in the host file.

I have scanned my system and cannot find any virus. Can any one
provide me some information about these entries? How to remove them
permanently? I am worried that someone has hacked my system or
monitoring my computer.

127.0.0.1 38.99.150.205
127.0.0.1 88.255.90.60

More likely you don't understand the security software you installed
(anti-malware, anti-spam, ad-blocking). The entries look like those
used to block advertisements. Check your ad-blocking software.

Some security software will protect against unauthorized changes. If it
doesn't prompt you when you make the changes (or when it detects that a
process is attempting to make the changes), you'll have to disable that
feature in that security software, make your changes, and then reenable
that protection feature (if you still want it).

Adding to the two other comments:"127.0.0.1" is the "address" of the
"local host". The entries that you saw and tried to remove are
actually blocking access to the URLs that are on the right-hand side
of "127.0.0.1", by redirecting them to the "local host", i.e., your
own computer.
