Home wireless network problem.

Hello !

I just buy 2 wireless network cards (11MBPS 802.11b Connectland) to be able
to build a small network with my 2 XP PC. As a first step, I only want to
share folders and to be able to play network games (no internet access
shared).
My two PC are into the same workgroup.
I installed my two cards with Ad Hoc configuration (same SSID, same
channel,...). I get no errors with the installation, but no network is
created. The connection status is "no connection" and the 2 PC are side by
side. Leds on cards are off.

What shall I do ? Do I need to set manually IP address ? Do I need other
components such DHCP server ?

Please help.....

Go to network connections and see if the wireless
connections are enabled.if not enable them

Thank you for your help, but connections are enabled.
I tried to set manually IP address (192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2) with no
result.

IPCONFIG /all show me :
Node type : Unknown
IP routing not activate
WINS Proxy not actived
Media status : disconnected
