My main drive, with 14 Gig of space, is my "C" drive, with all the executable
programs. My "D" drive, with 130 Gig, stores all my working data, with no
executable files.

On my "C" drive, under 'Documents and Settings', there are three (3) main
folders: 'All users', 'Default user', and then the folder with my 'name' on
it. The "C" drive holds all my executable programs. In the first two folders
is some info, (programs, files, etc) that is not in my folder. What is the
purpose of those different folders? Why can I not combine all that info into
my folder, thus eliminating the 'all users' folder and the 'default user'
folder?

My "D" drive, I also have multiple folders under the main "Documents and
Settings" folder. I understand the folders listed there as 'My Documents'
and ‘My Shared Documents’, but I once again have the 3 folders: 'All Users'.
'Default user', and instead of the folder with my name, the folder is listed
as 'Owner". My questions are the same as before for the C drive.

Hi

The 'All Users' and 'Default User' folders are system folders and are used
by Windows - please don't try to delete them.

As for your D drive - those folders can, if you want, be deleted.

Leave Default User( used to create a new profile) and All Users (holds
common settings) alone. You will be unhappy with the amount of grief you
will cause yourself for no reason.
