Hi, my IE6 browser Home Page is set to C:/Windows/hp.htm
from a bogus download I suspect. It is a HTM page that
has 100 or so hyperlinks to a variety of websites. When
I delete the file it just comes back again. I have
edited it out of the registry - on reboot it comes back
again. I have set the home page default to Altavista -
on reboot or startup and open the browser this hp.htm
file is the default home page again - anyone had this
problem before and know how to get rid of it for good -
thanks, appreciate any help

Hi Michael,

Have you tried this?

Type in the URL of rhe home page you want then:
1: Go to Tools/Internet Optiond and click "Use Current
Page" as your home page option

2: Delete the bogus file (afterwards).........

It's worth a shot!
