Home Page Problems

Whenever I open Internet Explorer 6.0, it automatically
(meaning to where I can't change it no matter what I do)
sets the home page as "%68%6F%6D%65%70%61%67%65%2E%63%6F%
6D%00@%77%77%77%2e%65%2d%66%69%6e%64%65%72%2e%63%63". I
don't know how that got there. I'm thinking that there
might be a corrupted file that got into the Internet
Explorer folder in 'My Computer' on my desktop but I'm
just not sure if thats the case and if it is, I'm not
sure how that happened. I also get an IE popup window all
the time that says "Ad Serve". If anyone out there has
any ideas on how to get this problem fixed, please email
me at (e-mail address removed).

Thank you.

You have some type of malware parasite/hijacker/scumware.

Go to either of these forums:
http://forums.techguy.org/
http://www.techsupportforums.com
or there are others out there too.

They will help you clean up your computer and tell you
how to prevent this from happening in the future.
If you don't have Adaware and Spybot, you need to get
them and run both frequently along with your anti-virus
program. Also staying current on Windows critical
updates is important.
Spybot (security.kolla.de)
Ad-aware(www.lavasoftusa.com)
