home directory

I am having trouble with creating home folders. While
working on a XP Pro workstation (sp1 with all Windows
critial updates), I use the AD User and Computers MMC snap-
in to add the user. The user successfully adds, however I
receive a message stating "The \\servername\home folder
location\username home folder was not created because:
Unspecified error The user account has been created with
the new home folder value but you must create the folder
manually." If you go the the home folder location the
folder is listed, however it does not have the correct
security settings. It is taking inherited security
settings. If I use the same MMC console on a 2000 pro
workstation, logged in as the same user, it works fine. I
have checked Event Viewer but it is not logging any
errors. I have tried the same procedure on a different XP
Pro workstation and it doesn't work at that location
either.

Jerold,

I appreciate your help, but I'm afraid this didn't help.
Any other ideas?
