History Folder

I run IE 6.0.
We have in the customization screen : Tools / Internet Options / General /
History / Days to keep pages in History.
We can insert there all figures correspondent to the days we want to keep
such sites in history.
I do not want to keep any record of any site in history
AT ANY TIME, EVEN WHEN I AM BROWSING IT.
I tried to insert zero figure, but this did not work.
Any one knows how can I manage to get it ?

Suggest you use a non-Internet Explorer-based browser, such as Firefox.

Is there a chance of altering some registers and ge it done ??

You're right - the block won't accept "0". It will, however, accept "1". I
live with that easily, and I keep my system as lean as possible.

No luck so far.
In the Registry I reduced the days to 0 and reduced the deafault cache
size also to 0. No effect. Haven't tried deleting the History folder
out of the Registry, but i would imagine Internet Explorer wil just re-
create it.

Hi,
A "Keep history" setting of 0 days will still (as you've discovered) keep
history until midnight.

I would recommend this program which can clear a number of items when the
browser is closed:
