Hijacked homepage

I have recently downloaded Messenger 6.2 and Messenger
Plus 3.01.94.

Since then my homepage seems to have been hi-jacked by
http://mysearchnow.com/passthrough/index.html?
http://www.google.com/.

I have run Adaware and Spybot but nothing seems to remove
it. I cannot change it using 'internet options' and
changing the home page there either.

Please can you give me some ideas as to how I can remove
it and change it back to Google

Thanks

You accidently installed the OPTIONAL sponsor of Messenger Plus!. You
can choose to not install the sponsor when you install Messenger Plus!
Read the screens that you're presented with, instead of clicking
mindless on "yes", "continue", etc...

What you must not do is using tools like ad-aware or spybot to remove
the sponsor. This will only break the proper uninstall procedure. And if
it did work at all, they will leave traces of the sponsor!

But since you did this, you need to first repair the uninstall procedure
by installing Plus! again WITH the sponsor.

After that, a simpel uninstall of Plus! will also remove the sponsor...

After that you can decide to install Plus! again, but this time make
sure that you didn't tick "yes, install the sponsor"....

Instructions on how to uninstall can be found here:
http://msgplus.mybboard.com/showthread.php?tid=21598

But remember, first reinstall Plus! again and don't use the ad-aware
kind of tools!

;)
