Hijacked Home Page - unwanted link to porn sites

George

I got hit with a virus last week (trojan.bookmerker.e),
which I successfully deleted using an update from
Symantecs. I followed all the instructions (I think),but
I still cannot reset my home page. Needless to say the
hijacked page says I'm being reported to the FBI for
looking at porn etc, etc. I can go to my home page by
overkeying, and browse from there on, but after about 15
minutes, I get kicked out of my internet connection, and
the hijacker tries to reconnect me with a new dialer
(which I keep deleting)to a porn site of course. I don't
know what I need to do to solve this.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

about the fbi warning; i had the same thing from a site and i found out from a friend that they are nothing to worry about unless it says to not touch, erase, turn off, restore or basicly anything to do with cleaning up your computer untill they have contacted you. all the fbi warning is is a scare to keep you from those sites and now they more than likely monitor your activity to be sure that you are not willingly downloading or uploading porn or anything that has to to with child pornography. if you continue to go to those sites then you could get a more serious warning.
As for trying to get your home page problem fixed; go to search then to files and type in the first word or first few letters of the word of the porn that keeps popping up and hit enter. scrool thru until you find the porn or any porn for that matter and delete it. then go back to the internet and go to the tools bar and under genral tab you can type in your current internet address and hit apply. then under the same tab clear files, history and cookies.
That same friend that told me about the fbi warning also told me about a way to get rid of all the spies such as the fbi. the website is called enigma.com and is a free download for you to see what kind of spies you have, how seroius they are, and where they are located in your computer. now you wont be able to get rid of them untill you buy the package that gets rid of them. once you get the package and delete all the spies then you will be clean untill you go to the site that brought them up to begin with. if you like, you can check on that website i gave you at a library if you are not sure the site is legitimate, but i assure that it is. i hope that my info has help. please let me know by responding to the e-mail address given. thx.
