HIGH SPEED USB HOST CONTROLLER

I HAVE UPGRADED TO DSL FROM DIAL UP. I HAVE A WIRELESS USB ADAPTER ON A
SECOND COMPUTER AND THE DSL ROUTER ON THE MAIN COMPUTER. I WAS TOLD THAT I
NEED A HIGH SPEED USB HOST CONTROLLER TO IMPROVE THE CONNECTIVITY SERVICE.
MY QUESTION IS "IT LOOKS HARD TO INSTALL. I HAVE NEVER TAKEN A COMPUTER
APART. CAN A MIDDLE AGED WOMAN LIKE ME INSTALL A HIGH SPEED USB HOST
CONTROLLER

Quit shouting lady !!!, no it isn't beyond you to do the job.

1. install the software for the controller first
2. shut down your machine
3. unplug the power cable from the box before attempting to do anything
inside the housing
4. remove the side panel [usually 2 hex screws]
5. locate a free PCI slot [white ones] and install the card gently [ no
need to use force]
6. replace the side panel and power cable, boot up the machine and the
new device will be detected and configured.
7. if all goes well , give yourself a pat on the back for a job well
done, if not , post back here
