Hi, this is an interesting problem that I've never encountered before. I
have a Toshiba notebook that was freshly reloaded using the Toshiba system
restore CDs. Everything is working fine but the screen resolution is set to
1024X768. I want to switch it to it's native resolution of 1400X1050. So I
increased the resolution and applied the change. Now the desktop is larger
than the notebook monitor can display. In other words, instead of the entire
deskop fitting on the screen at the higher resolution, it is spilling outside
the edges such that if I move the mouse pointer all the way to the right, the
desktop scrolls left so that I can see that part of the desktop. The same
applies for the top, bottom and left side. I've already contacted Toshiba
support but they were of no use.
Do you suppose it could be the drivers? These drivers were loaded
automatically from the restore CD's that Toshiba shipped with the notebook.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
