high quality jpg from powerpoint slide

Is there a way, using PowerPoint, any version, when saving
a slide as a jpg image to force that image to high
quality? The problem is; the text on the slides of a
particular presentation have some really bad jagged edges
using the Ariel font. It may be that the font as it ships
does not support the font size we have chosen so I am
keeping that in mind. What troubles me is that previously
when we outsourced this, we did not have this issue. So I
am wondering if there is a way to do this native to
PowerPoint or if it would require a 3rd party plug-
in/application. Any and all constructive suggestions
welcome but I ask that in addition to posting here, please
email them to me as well.

The best solution is to use an add-in that exports slides as .jpg's where
you determine the pixel size (ie. I generally export mine at 1600x1200 for
optimal quality). Here are the two most used add-ins - I recommend either:

PowerPoint doesn't provide the kind of control that you are looking for
when it comes to controlling the resolution at which slides (and
selections) are exported as bitmaps. There are several workarounds such as
proportionally making the slide area larger (e.g. 20"x15" instead of
10"x7.5") since that doesn't affect slide show at all and only marginally
affects printing (since PowerPoint will automatically scale down the size
of the slide to fit if slide area is larger than print area for selected
printer and paper size). NOTE: In PowerPoint 2003, the maximum resolution
of slides exported as bitmaps is 3072x3072

have more control over the quality/resolution at which slides are exported
as bitmaps (without having to resort to workarounds, add-ins or VBA), don't
