High Density RAM

O

Owen Guppy

Hi

I have bought from e-bay a 1024 mb ddr dimm, which should comply with my
asus A7A266-E motherboard, but when fitted the system won't boot.
The vendor advises me that the memory is 'high density' 128x4. Is this the
problem? Might a bios update solve it?

Thanks for any help

Owen

i dun think a BIOS update would solve it though, it has to do with the
physical addressing of the MB/CPU pair, u need lower density ram
