Hibernation and Auto Reboot

what

Is there a way to change the hibernation in winXP so that the pc hibernates
and then reboots automatically? Originally, hibernation power off the PC.

Now i need to change it to reboot the system auotomatically after hibernation

Thanks in advance

what's the point of hibernating if you are going to reboot it anyway?

Sure, this is exactly what the HCT hibernation test does.
It sets a timer event that wakes the machine up.

I guess you need a machine that supports ACPI. OnNow specifies ways to
wakeup a machine, see e.g.

"OnNow Pow. Mgmt. Architecture for Applications"
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/archive/OnNowApp.mspx
-> section "System Wake Functions"

you can create a waitable timer that will bring the machine out of
hibernate.

You can probably do many things but the interesting part is *how* it
can be done ;))

Any hints?

Thanks!
