I need HELP. I have a Compaq computer that will not
acknowledge my Hewlett Packard ScanJet 5100C even after I
installed the driver that Hewlett Packard suggested. Can
you help me>

I wouldn't spend too much time trying to get that piece of junk running. It
is without a doubt the worst scanner HP ever made. Do yourself a favor and
get a new one. Umax is a good brand, and there are many others.
