HELP!!

Jane

I updated with Window's update and now I can't get my
modem to work. I've tried to update the driver and that
didn't help. Then I tried uninstalling the driver, and re-
installing it again. That didn't help either. I've also
removed the updates. I've also tried to restore to before
I did the updates. Nothing seems to work. Any
suggestions?

Sounds like the modem may be bad. I would try a new modem
and see what happens. I installed a program not too long
ago and it messed up my system and I placed a new hard
drive in and did a clean install of xp and installed all
of my hardware, but I could not install my modem that was
working fine before. Somehow it went bad and I put a new
modem in and everything is fine.
