I keep getting a message that files required for Windows
XP to run properly have been replaced by an
unrecognizable version. It instructs me to insert the
Service Pack 1 CD, which I don't have. When I try to
download the latest Service Pack, it says the software
has not passed Windows Logo testing. Has anyone else had
this problem?

Windows is meaning to ask you for your Windows CD.
If your Windows CD does NOT include Service Pack 1
slipstreamed, you may have to reinstall Service Pack 1
once the file is restored.

.
I had a simular problem, it was caused by the Blaster
Worm, it showed my XP Version had changed to Media Center.

I did a search using the words "Blaster Worm" then went
to the MSN Support page, or you can goto UPDATES and
download the Service Pack.
