I'd appreciate any help someone can offer with a problem.
I have Windows XP home SP2 and use Verizon DSL.
Recently something went south and I have problems connecting to
email, news server and the web. Along with these is a dialog box
that pops up in the traybar saying local area connection a network
cable is unplugged. I have updated drivers and changed ethernet cables
and reset the modem, still have the same problems.
I did upgrade my Mcafee to the new Security Suite, anyone know if that
might cause an issue?
Whatever the issue is, to some extent it seems to be intermittent, in
that the dialog box pops up and closes, and if you click on it, it
opens up the local area connection box and you can watch it change
from connected to unplugged over varying timeframes, but never more
than about 30 seconds.
TIA for any ideas ..
