Help!!!!

I just deleted a very important file from my server(win2000 server) through
networks neighbourhood, is there any way I can recover this file ? 'cos I
can't find this file from Recycle Bin.....

Your best bet is to use your backup. if that is not available, a program
like emergency undelete (executive software),might be able to recover the
file.
Remember that if you install a new program, it might overwright the position
where the file that you are looking for resides...

bad luck! Windows doe snot provide any service that does that by default.
Try searching on the web for free undelete utilities that can run from cd or
floppy.... i remember emergency undelete ran from the cd, so you don't have
to install it. There should be other similar tools, but i don't know.

if you know the file name, try to search for it; chances are some users
could have made a copy of it.

thx for ur reply, but the file I deleted already and I didn't install any
file recover software, is windwos windows 2000 provide any build in service
to recover file ?

Hi,

Actually, you can use Active@ undelete to restore lost data. It posses
the msot powerful resotr methods IMHO and thus it never failed me.
Great tool to use indeed, give it a try. Really recommended.
