Help!!!!!!!!

Janet Sinclair

I keep getting an error "windows could not start because the following file
is missing or corrupt: <windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please
re-install a copy of the file"

I have tried a few things with no luck. I created a boot disk and booted
off "a" - no luck
I modified the boot.ini file and booted off "a" - no luck
I booted from XP CD - only get blank screen

I went to the Microsoft Knowledge base articles and was unsuccessful with
all their methods.

I am lost now! The last thing I was doing was working on my photo album
with Adobe then shut down for the night. When I went to turn it on....boom

Would love some advise...I hate to pay someone lots of cash.
