Help--XP Crashing Constantly

Since adding SP2, my computer is crashing constantly.
Just freezes and the screen goes blank.

I checked the event log. Everytime this happens, the
following error is posted:

Date 9/28/2004
Time 3:40:33 PM
Source smtpsvc
Category None
Event 1002
User None


Can anybody please give me some guidance here?

A Google search for "smtpsvc" yields a host of hits all relating to the SMTP
(mail) service.
