Excel Help with Splitting Postcodes

Hi

first post so I hope I am in the right place.

I have a list of postcodes in excel eg. RG55 5JN, RG4 3JT
I only want it to show the first 4 digits.

I have spend over an hour searching various web pages and can't find how to do it.

Can anyone help please.

You might be able to do it by using the "Text to Columns" feature... this example splits a name into first and last by using the space:
