Help with pending requests

John,
Just when I was ready to give up, I read your latest post and decided to try
once again and follow your additional suggestions.

I separated the textboxes (txtRcvdDate and txtRcvdDate2) and re-checked the
settings for txtRcvdDate2. They are as they should be Enabled and Tab Stop
are set to No and Locked is set to Yes. I still couldn’t input a date as I
previously mentioned. It was your suggestion to separate the textboxes that
proved critical in unmasking the problem. I could not input a date into
*RcvdDate* which I did not suspect was the problem. I checked all the
settings there and could not find the problem.

I do all design changes in a “test it†db so I went back to previous
versions and the result was the same. I then went to my production copy
because I don’t add changes until I am sure they are working correctly. I had
added my Plan B change because it did not include the IIF statement, only
conditional formatting and was working perfectly. The last date entered for a
filled request was 8/21/09 so I was sure it was working on that date. I could
not add a date to my production copy either.

I don’t have time to work on this on the job so this is done in my free time
at home. I thought the results would be the same on my school computer until
I tried it. It works! Apparently, it’s my home computer that is having these
new issues.
I want to thank you and Jeff for all of the help you have given me for such
a seemingly insignificant problem. I still tend to be narrowly focused and
your questions and suggestions helped me to think and try things I had not
considered. Thanks again! :)
