Help with my PC

Hi there everyone, as a new one to computers I appear to have a problem, on
start up of my computer it takes around a minute before I get to the user log
in, whereas before it took around twenty seconds. I have used the defrag and
the disc cleanup but it still remains the same. I am running Windows 2000
along with XP Home plus I also have MSAV plus I am running Avast Anti Virus
home edition 4. The following information I somehow got from somewhere I
shouldn't have been but here it is, Volume Size=74.55GB Cluster Size=4KB Used
Space=13.15GB Free Space=61.40GB %age Free Space=82% .
Can someone please tell me what to do to speed up my PC, also when logging
into IE it takes around 30 seconds to get the home page to come up on screen.

You've reached a newsgroup dedicated to helping folks create queries in
Microsoft Access, the relational database product. Try a different 'group
if you don't get help here.

The more programs you load on your computer, the longer it will take to boot
up because many of those programs will preload files as Windows starts.
Also, running 2 antivirus programs at a time will slow down your computer.
Both programs have to check each file before you use it. I would even
suspect, but don't know, that they check each file before they let the other
antivirus program check the file.

For more information, I would suggest one of the groups for your version of
Windows. To find that, scroll down the alphabetical listing of newsgroups to
find one that deals with your version of Windows.
