I set my computer to automatically boot to safe mode and it wont accept my Login and PW. How do i get it out of safe mode? I have tried the f8 key on restart with differant types of restarts but it always ends up in safe mode and asks for my name and PW. (Note I selected the Safemode boot option using the msconfig command on the run line. I was tryiong to get rid of a virus

1. Click Start, and then click Run. The Run dialog box appears.
2. Type msconfig and then click OK.
3. The System Configuration Utility appears. Uncheck the "/SAFEBOOT" option, and
then click OK.
4. Restart the computer as you normally would.

The problem is you can't get to the Start Menu because
you can't get past the login screen. How do you bypass
the User Name/Password screen?

Just got off of MSFT support with the same problem. He
had me type "administrator" in the User Name field and
press OK. Do not worry about the password. Assuming this
is your computer and you do not have an Administrator
password, this will get you in and then you can make
whatever changes are needed. I completed a system restore
once in and am now up and running.
