Help with connection to hidden ssid

I just bought a Hp laptop with vista home. NIC card is broadcom. Updated to
the newest driver but having problem connecting to a hidden ssid.
My old laptop running on xp can connect without problem.

Ssid is WPA-PSK
network key is AES

i setup accordingly but cant seem to be able to detect the network on the
list.
Have chk both boxes during the setup

Your SSID is "WPA-PSK"? Really? Or do you mean that the security type is
WPA-PSK?

Have you selected the option to "Connect even if the network is not
broadcasting"? There are more details here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/network/wifi/hiddennet.mspx. I recommend
that you re-enable SSID broadcasting on your access point. Contrary to a
belief that is still strangely popular, hiding your SSID does not make your
wireless network any more secure.
