Help with calculation

We have a system where external organisations pass us quarterly year to date
figures which are keyed into an Access database. The year to date figures
are identified by the quarterly date eg March 2004, June 2004 etc. We want
to produce a report that shows the actual quarterly figures by deducting the
previous quarter from the year to date figures. Can anyone start us off on
the right direction. The organisations' systems do not produce the quarterly
figures otherwise the obvious way would be to ask them to submit them in the
first place.
TIA

Hi Tony,

Please include the table structure (names of fields and datatypes) and some sample data to show
us exactly how it is keyed in. For example, is this an unnormalized data structure, where
separate fields have been used for each quarter? We really need more detail to be able to
provide effective help.
