HELP!! Windows XP Login Problem

Okay, I messed my work Laptop up pretty good. Basically, in the course of
trying to set up a wireless network for home use, I somehow managed to change
my windows XP configuration to a home use computer from a work use computer.
Now when I try to log into windows, it won't accept my work use user ID or
password. I've noticed in the login screen that I used to have a domain
listed under the password box (because I would log into my work network) -
now that domain box is gone. I've tried my work user id/password and every
other user id/password I can think of to no avail. Somehow I need to get
onto Windows, get to that configuration choice and change it back to a "work
use computer" but I need to get into windows to do that. Someone please
help!!!

My suggestion, wrap up a 40 oz bottle of Imported CC and take to your
favourite cooperate IT person, and tell them your nine year old niece
was messing around with the company laptop and now it doesn't work.If
that doesn't work, fess-up and tell them you screwed up and you'll
never do it again if they will just make it right.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode. After the Power On Self Test (POST), press and hold the F8 key.
Logon as the Administrator. There should be no password if the default wasn't changed during the OS
install. (just press Enter)

You'll have to take it back to your IT folks and have them rejoin it to
the domain.
