I have installed JV16 Power Tools 1.3, but after going to Tools > Registry
Cleaner, finding, highlighting and checking the obsolete items, I cannot
find a way to remove them. Could someone who uses this program do a
run-through of the procedure. TIA.

Frank,

Make sure the check box next to the item that you want to remove is
checked, and then click Remove on the lower right of the GUI (next to
Close).

Click on Registry tool > Tools > Registry Cleaner > Continue > Start.
When finished, Click on Select > Special select > Items that should be
safe to remove > Remove.

Thanks to Jmatt and DaVinci for instructions. I think my problem was not
waiting long enough for the registry to be analysed.

Another point Frank, the program needs a screen resolution of 800 x 600
or higher, to be able to see all the boxes.
