Help - the system reboots itself

I

Ivan

And that "sometimes" is almost every day! It all started
about a week ago. That usually happens when I start or
shut down the computer... it just reboots and then XP PRO
says "the system has recovered from a serious error". I
have sent Microsoft the report and they said the problem
was caused by the device driver.

I say - WHAT driver? I didn't install any new driver in
the past few months.
My system was very stable, never had any crashes with it
(it's 8 months old!), until now.
What's more interesting - it usually happens few minutes
after starting, ending or when waking up from the sleep
mode. Does anybody know what the system do when making
those things - what resources are responsible/active in
that time?

I thought it was some spy software that I had recently...
but I have cleaned the system totally. I have no viruses.
Please help. Thanks.

You can remote debug ur system using WinDbg and find out the exact driver
that is causing problem. And if possible uninstall the driver from the
system.

If you want to send me your crash dump that was created
during the reboot, I'll look and tell you want driver is
causing this. The dump file is normally located in your
root windows directory\minidump. (C:\windows\minidump)
(FYI, It may be a hidden file)

Would this include drivers for the All in Wonder 9600 Pro?
I'm having continuous crashes-daily (Stop messages usually
reference some ati*.dll file) and I HAVE updated the
drivers--most recently to Catalyst 4.2. No change. Very
unpredictable, except for the above mentioned .dll
references.

Anyone know of a roll-back version that's stable?
