HELP! Services in NON ENglish!

J

jim

Hello, I have a friend that has a non- english XP version and the
services are in that language... and I cannot know what they are
so I can compare them with the English names I know...

is there any translation of these somewhere on the microsoft site?

I can go one by one and compare and translate them myself.. but
it would take too much time!

thanks in advance

Hi Jim,

MS has no such service to my knowledge. The only way I know of translating
that would be by using the Google (or something similar) language tools.

Hi Jim,

You can try to get ur hands on in the Windows XP/2003 Multilingual
User Interface Pack.

In system information, under software environment->services, you can see the
services listed with a name and a full name. The full name is more like a
short description and is translated to the language of the XP version but the
name is language independant. If necessary, you should find the full name in
english from the name on internet.
