help - send/recive button gives eneral error box

Under Tools - Options / MailSetup
when clicking on the Send/Recive when I click the button for send/recive
options I get a (general error box)

in result of this (I think ) I can even send using the fax modem.

and before you ask the faxmodem works cause if I print to it then the fax
modem will fax out..

Printing a fax has nothing to do with sending email and you cannot send email
with the fax modem. Set up your accounts first with the correct POP mail
settings given to you by your ISP. Mail Setup is used to set up the acct
correctly before you can Send/receive. Call your provider for exact
instructions. PS You cannot use Outlook for web mail like Hotmail.
