Help - scrolling is so slowwww

I have just re-installed WXP fresh on a P4 2.4 system with 512 RAM and
lots of HD space, and it is working fine except that when I scroll
the screen up or down line by line through pages, it is very slow.
Other operations seem okay.

I'm thinking it may be the on-board video. The MOBO is a ASUS
P4B533-VM.

I wonder where I should look for the cause?

Anyone know?

Thanks

Do you mean scrolling with a mouse wheel? How are you scrolling?

Have you checked the Asus website for the latest video drivers available?

Martin.

In *what* application? My psychic is off for the day, so I can't help you.

But, assuming you mean IE:

Go to the "Tools" menu, go to 'Options", go to "Advanced tab." In the
"Browsing" section, uncheck "Use Smooth Scrolling".
