Help... recycle bin doesn't keep it's view

For some strange reason my recycle bin doesn't keep it's view setting. I
set it to maximize, view in thumbnail, and arrange by type. But it keeps
reverting back to icon view and doesn't maximize the window. How do I fix
this?
