Help Receipt Printing

I have a Point of sale application which prints a sales Receipt.
The printer is a Citizen CBM1000
I created a report to print the receipt when the transaction finished but it
is really slow compared to Applications like MYOB retail manager.
Can any one help with this?

If your printer is a dot matrix, you may want to create your report using
printer fonts rather than true-type fonts.

the printer in a new thermal high speed 40 colum printer. MYOB retail manager
prints out aproximatly 10 to 15 lines of alighned test in aproximatly 2 to 3
seconds

I believe someone else provided a similar solution in another NG where you
asked the same question. Or, was this just a major coincidence?

no its not a coincidence! i have tryed what was sugested and it has made very
littel inprovment so i am still trying to find a sulution. do you know hoe
the point ofd sale programers manage to print to a docket printer so fast?
if so i would love to find out?

I expect you would want to remove as much stuff as possible and use only
printer fonts.
