A

Alex

I have a TM800 notebook with ati radeon 9000 mobility.
When i use the laptop connecten to a projector i have some big problems:
1) my lcd resolution is 1400x1050 and the projector have only 800x600 !!!
it show only a little part of the desktop!!!!! i have to reduce the
resoluzion of the lcd to 800x600 but it's unusable.
How can i solve this problem?? i tried to install the catalyst driver 3.7
(tweaked for mobility) but they gave a lot of problem is there any utility
to resolve this problem?

2) I cant' change the refresh for the second monitor my lcd is set to 60 Hz
and the same is set for the clone , i can't change

I have driver 7.83 from acer

This looks to be the same problem as James is having "TV-out resolution on
Radion 9700 Pro" posted yesterday (in most parts of the world!) About 21
hours ago.

You should be able to use different resolutions and refresh rates for the
primary and secondary display... make sure you have a suitable monitor
driver installed for the secondary output.

The issue is that when displaying different resolutions, the image does not
get scaled, so you tend to get the top-left of the image. Ideally it would
be scaled...

I'd use the latest reference one from Ati, unless you know of any reason why
you would lose functionality. This won't fix your problem though.
