With Word XP, I have been trying to add new pages to the end of a document
by inserting page breaks. Now I find that, with View/Print layout, most of
the pages in the document have changed to something like the 'Normal' view
where blank space is omitted and there are no clear breaks between pages,
just horizontal lines. Also, the ruler at the left side only appears for a
short part of the middle of the document and is absent elsewhere.
There is something going badly wrong and I suspect it is something to do
with me trying to add pages at the end of the document by inserting page
breaks.
