Help!! pop-ups

In the past couple of days, I have been plagued by pop-ups (for the first time). My default home page in IE keeps reverting to http://i-lookup.com/ - it has also put on 2 toolbars that i cannot get rid of. I've tried everything to remove this without success + am getting very frustrated - can anyone help?

Get a program called Search and Destroy. Go to www.google.com and type that
in. It is a program that kills spyware and best of all it is free. Make sure
you use the inoculate option as well.

XP has an unexpected back door that allows a new type of ad to pop-up even when you aren't using the internet. The best fix that I've found is a program called AdGone. It's $16.95 and you download it off the companies web site. Absolutely nothing gets through after you install it!

I had the same problem, what a pain. I found a probram
called Pop-Up Stopper. On the internet. They do have a
free version for non business use. I find this to work
well. I will notify you with a sound when a pop would
have occured. If you need to have a pop to happen just
hold down the control key and you will have your pop-up.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Graham,

Download the iLookup killer from here:

Manual Removal:
http://doxdesk.com/parasite/ILookup.html

Also, use Ad-Aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) to scan for any other spyware.
* Update the pattern file first, using "WebUpdate" feature *

I run Adaware. Its great and free.
Also I use Pop-up Stopper from Panicware. Its free. You can set it to stop all pop ups or you can individually allow.
