Hi to all you wonderful ACCESS Guru's - I am definitely missing something...
I want a user to be able to create and view the report by the Team Lead they
choose from the combo box and a Date field
I have the combo box on a form with a "Run Report" command button - the
Combo Box is pulling from a "Team Leads" Table that houses all the Team
Lead's names. I want the "Run Report" to open up the "Y-T-D Team Lead Report
filtered by the choice the user made in the "cboteamlead" combo box...
Also, is there a way on the same form to have a date field based on a the
same query the Report feeds off of.. Date field name is "Monitor Date" from
table called "TEAM LEAD Track"... If so then the report could run based on
the "Team Lead Name and Monitor date"... Below is the vb code I did for the
"Run Report" Command Button, I havent added the Monitor Date yet, I wasn't
sure where to add it to the code.. So any help or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated... TxBlueEyes...
Below is the VB CODE so far...
DoCmd.OpenReport "Y-T-D Team Lead Report", View:=acPreview, _
WhereCondition:="[TEAM LEAD]= '" & Me.cboteamlead & ""

well, if the value of cboteamlead is a Text data type, then you need to
enclose the value in single quotes within the double quotes, as

WhereCondition:="[TEAM LEAD]= '" & Me.cboteamlead & "'"

to add a date criteria to the condition, try

WhereCondition:="[TEAM LEAD]= '" & Me.cboteamlead _
& "' And [Monitor Date] = #" & Me.MonitorDateControlName _
& "#"

post your code, please, both the "working" code for team lead, and the
non-working code that includes the date criteria.

Tina, thanks so much, that worked for the Team Lead Part of the code, and the
report opens up great.. I had left out a perimeter.... so now this is what I
need assistance on... and then I am good to go... thanks again.. you're a gem.

And how stupid is this... I tried to add the Monitor Date field (from table
TEAM LEAD TRACK)to the form. I want the user to be able to enter the monitor
date the report will feed off the Team Lead from the Combo Box choice (from
TABLE TEAM LEADS). I don't think I have the Monitor Date field on the Form
with the Combo Box set up correctly... I have it with control source =[TEAM
LEAD DAILY TRACK]!MonitorDate....
But I know I am missing something to allow the user to enter the "Monitor
Date" to pull all the records for the report based on the TEAM LEAD choice
from the combo box, and the "Monitor Date" (short date format) they enter in
the Monitor date field.
