can anyone tell me if an intel p4 3.2e ghz prescott 478 pin cpu will work in
an asus p4c800-e deluxe motherboard?

yes, provided you install bios 1017 or later

and enter the processor details

Yes, using it now. The presshott does run hot. The fan will be noisy.
Look inot a good cpu cooler, if you don't want all the noise from the
stock cpu fan.
