Help on vista start up

I had to slave a pata drive to have vista beta installed. It would not
install on my sata drives. Everything completes. Then when its starts up, i
get the build information on the bottom right on corner of the screen but
everything is black.
I dont have onboard graphics. Using a PCIe geforce 6800XT card on a M2N32
SLI Deluxe motherboard. With only having one IDE port it was a real faf on!!
But i can only guess its an imcompatibilty with the Graphics card. but
ive checked and apparently it should be compatable as advsd from microsoft
and Nvidia.

Any help on this black screen issue would be appreciated. thx

Also i`ve tried safemode. This also does the same. Reboots (no signal) the
trys again.
