Help on Backup method

Hi, I am using NTBACKUP that comes with W2K. I am planning
to take "System State" everyday. So that if I have to
regenerate my system elsewhere, I plan to do;
1. Install fresh W2K on a new box.
2. Restore "system State" from Backup media.

Question is, will this method will bring back my original
status on this new box? Any other suggestions? (No $$ to
buy third party backup software, please).

As long as the boxes have the same hardware yes.
