Help needed with home network

Please help
I have a mini network in my house, containing a trust router and hub
conected to my server and a wireless accsess point, and my laptop conected
wirelessley.
I previosely had windows xp home sp2 installed on them both and the network
worked fine ( i.e. I could shere and transferfiles between them, and perform
printer shering) but because I needed to control the server using remote
desctop connection I have upgraded the server to windows xp pro sp2 and now
am having nothing but problems. I have run network wizard and my laptop can
see the server on the network but I cant accsess the shered files on the
server when I try I get the message "\\mainserver is not accessible. you
might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions."
Also I have set the server to accept remote connections but when I try to
use remote desctop and look for the server on mshome network I get the
message "the mshome domain/workgroup does not contain any terminal servers".
If someone can help me out it would be great, I am out of ideas.
Thanks

Dan,

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall. There are other possibilities too. Read this
article with an open mind.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely:

Let's deal with the file sharing / "...not accessible..." problem first. After
we get it resolved, I want to explore the terminal server issue.
