I am looking to buy a new laptop and need some help with Pentium M vs
Pentium 4 Processors.
I am looking at Fujitsu laptops and I can't decide between a Pentium 4
3.2Ghz and a Pentium M 1.8Ghz.
How do these speeds compare?
Thanks
Paul
One is nearly twice as fast as the other... However, the "M" is mobile and
the goal of the mobile processor is to give the desktop-like power to the
laptop computers. A good benchmark test would show if you were able to find
them. I've gone to Google and this is what I've found.
GamePC - Dothan Revisited : Pentium-M 755/745 Benchmarked:

There you will see a direct comparison as it converts a wav file. The 3.2
GHz is still much faster.
