I don't know what "sample disc" for "my creative computer" really means.
It sounds like you installed a program that overwrote Windows system
files - definitely this is not something you would want on your
computer! Try and do a System Restore to before you installed whatever
you did.

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
"Restore my computer to an earlier time".

You may need to boot the computer into Safe Mode to do this. To get to
Safe Mode, repeatedly tap the F8 key as the computer is starting up.
This will get you to the correct menu to choose Safe Mode. Once in Safe
Mode, try System Restore.

If that doesn't help, post back with more information about the "one
disc for XP" you have and the exact text of the error message.

This is rarely a problem. Usually protected system files maybe overwritten by
legitimate applications as the original file is outdated or the program
writers have something that works better than the original XP file. If you
are not experiancing any problems then simply ignore the warning. If you have
updated your XP OS to SP2 and don't have the original CD or any CD then you
can always get the sfc /scannow (System File Checker- Scan now) to run
without it. Click
HERE for more detailed instructions. TTFN.

Hi
thanks for your info...I'll give it a few days and see how it turns out.
I haven't dared use it since the message came up.
